Meridian is located in Lauderdale County, Mississippi situated on I-20 between Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Jackson, Mississippi. Our population is roughly 70,000+. Our location affords us economic growth through highway and railroad transportation access. The city of Meridian supports eight elementary, two middle, two junior high and one comprehensive high school. Lauderdale County provides educational opportunities to outlying areas with two kindergarten through 12th grade schools, two elementary schools, two middle schools, and two senior high schools.
